This issue affects bttns running firmware version March 2015 (shipped between March 2015 and July 2015).

When using bttn in open network (i.e. networks without password), the network name (SSID) cannot have special characters. The issue was fixed in firmware version June 2015.

This issue does not affect WPA/WPA2 encrypted networks.
