Direct HTTP-request

Hello,

We're building a hackathon project around the button and the current HTTP post delay is kind of killing the idea. Is it possible to implement a version of BTTN firmware that allows HTTP-requests to be made directly to the wanted server instead of going through BTTN cloud?

Regards,

Olli

Hi,

sorry for the late reply;

we have made a prototype of a Wi-Fi bttn that can make HTTP GET requests to local addresses. This is being tested currently and depending on the feedback we might or might not make it available.

The bttn will however still need to be connected to the bt.tn cloud service too.

In case you are still interested, please purchase a Wi-Fi bttn from our webstore and send me a note at tuukka@bt.tn, and I'll see that you get the proto version to test.

Best regards,

Tuukka / bttn

Are there any updates on this matter?

Hi,

the firmware is undergoing tests and will be released quite soon (January or February 2016).

I need that feature too.
